The book was written by a biblical scholar who thoroughly understands the message of the New Testament and knows how to communicate that message concisely, accurately and effectively. The book is well-written, interesting, relevant, and provides an overview of every book in the New Testament/5(34).

The New Testament explains how those promises were kept and how, if we are Christians, they are kept in us as well.

Mark Dever surveys the historical context, organization, and theology of each New Testament book, in light of God's Old Testament promises. His message is that of the New Testament itself, one of hope ed on: Novem   New Testament - I would prefer to have the OT & NT in one book but with the paper used and font size, I'll take it divided up.

For me, I want to read more because all of these factors. As mentioned above, there is a OT & NT version of The Message (with the thin paper, smaller font and verse numbers on the side)/5(90). The books of the New Testament were composed not in order to satisfy historical curiosity about the events they recount but to bear witness to a faith in the action of God through these events.
